Backlighting Steve at the beginning of this scene was entirely a whim, but oh god am I glad I did it and stuck with it. The middle part of this page? *chef kiss*

But for real though. I’ve spent half a year being fucking terrified of those 3 panels and like, oh man guys, I’m so pleased. Some of the color scheme got destroyed by trying to get that third panel appropriately dark, but it needed to BE dark, and I just…I’m so proud. I’m just gonna like, be in the corner all week tooting my own horn.

(Next week goes back to our normal no-blood/antlers comic that we love, where it’s just angst and spite and angry redheads not murdering Steve. See you guys then.)
